The most common reason for replacing the front axle is when it is damaged and the mower isn’t cutting evenly. This part is sold individually. The tools that you will need to replace the axle assembly is a flat-head screwdriver, 9/16 inch nut driver and a large flat-head screwdriver.

Removed cover, then plastic wheels, then gear then axle. You need a certain torx bit to loosen gears on both sides.
