Product Description ?

Genuine Hitachi replacement part, this item is sold individually. The purpose of the 877-761 Feeder Spring is to return the feeder to its original position once a fastener has been shot. This part is made of metal and is compatible with the nailers listed below. For install: remove the retaining ring from the feeder shaft. Slide the feeder with feeder spring off of the shaft. The old spring can now be removed and the new one set in place. Slide the feeder with spring back onto the feeder shaft and secure with the retaining ring.

    1 remove head cap to replace driver o-ring. 2 remove nose piece to replace bumper sheet. 3 remove guard and pin to replace feeder spring.4 replace guard

    Removed two allen bolts and metal cover over feed mechanism,removed o-ring on shaft or pivot pin, pulled out removed broken spring cleaned up parts, replaced spring, shaft and retaining o-ring, lubricated, reassembled cover with bolts. Test fired, shooting 100%

    1. Took the gun apart.
    2.Cleaned all parts.
    3. Assembled with the new parts.

    Roofing nail gun was bought at pawn shop and had parts missing.

    REPLACE LEAKING O-RING
    (1) I removed the 4 hex screws holding the piston cap
    (2) Removed cap
    (3) Turned nailer upside down and shook out the plunger
    (4) Removed worn O-ring, I used an awl to pry the ring off
    (5) Replaced with new O-ring
    (6) Slide piston back into nailer making sure to line up the blade with the hole. NOTE: The blade will only fit one way.
    (6) Reinstalled piston cap
    (7) Tightened down 4 hex screws

    INSTALL MISSING PARTS
    (1) Installed Feeder Spring using hinge pin and retainer
    (2) Installed Guard and replaced the missing 2 hex screws

    Removed housing to feeder assembly with alien wrench. Removed rubber ring from feeder spring pin. Removed feeder spring and pin. Reinstalled in reverse order.

    Nail guns were not feeding nails, one had an inlet broken

    I began by decreasing the nailer, remove protective plate, removed rubber O ring to remove feeder spring, I slide pin out, I also remover the trigger spring to remove the pressure against.
    removed feeder spring, and installed the new one, I put everything together the opposite order as I started, I tested them, (because I fixed 3 of them, and they all worked as new. I'm happy.
