Hole In the fan housing assembly
Easy fix. Had the same component crack due to its plasticity about 5 years ago. The part sent had a slight variation of an extra nib at the point of the elbow that I had file down about 1/4 inch so it would pass through hole. Only difficult part was assembling housing to motor ring. Had to use Emory cloth to remove a slight buildup of rust on ring. Applied light coating of white grease so motor and ring slid into housing assembly. Three or four screws held motor and housing in place. About five screws held base plate in place. Used shop air to blow dust from motor area when base plate was removed.
