5 inch diameter exhaust line to window was short. Window fitting was short.
Instillation of a portable window air conditioner vent into a window. The vent was designed to slide into a 28 inch lateral frame. I had to install the insert into a 36 inch vertical frame. I bought a matching insert and overlapped the parts to extend the insert to 36 inches. The 5 inch diameter exhaust line(similar to a dryer vent) was 48 inches. I needed to extend this vent to 96 inches. I bought a new vent line and used the included junction (plastic connector) to join the two sections. The portable air conditioning unit is now in place and able to be moved about the floor for convenience purposes.
