This is an OEM approved replacement part designed for Tanaka and Hitachi power equipment. Its purpose is to filter out dust and debris from contaminating the carburetor and engine. Over time it may get clogged restricting the air flow, keep and eye on the equipment's performance and replace filter as needed. This part is made from durable fabric material and it is sold individually.

    1. Unscrew air filter element cover.
    2. Remove old element
    3. Line up new element in cover
    4. Replace cover.
    5. Put screwdriver back in toolbox

    Bad fuel leaks on fuel line. Replaced lines and grommets

    Removed old fuel lines, filter and grommets. Inserted return line through grommets. Using needle nose pliers to insert new grommets into ports. Connected new filter. Connected lines to carburetor. Refilled fuel tank. Started engine and checked for leaks. All were tight. Back to trimming.

    Leaked gas around return gasket on gas tank

    The fuel line was bad

    I pulled out the old line and bushing from the tank and to the carb.
    I installed new line to the carb and feed line into gas tank seat bushing.
