Electronic Igniter Kit

1. Pull off knobs.
2. Remove 5 Philips screws to remove panel and starter box.
3. Unplug wires
4. Remove and replace old button, box, and spark unit
5. Replug wires
6. Replace 5 screws for panel and box
8. Replace knob.
9. Fire it up.

had to install an new igniter kit which was very expensive approx $45.00 when all I really needed was the unit and relay as the wires and the button still work fine, however, the unit relay was faulty as I only used the thing 10 to 15 times and it cost me $45.00 to replace it. I have had a Weber BBQ before and It worked fine for 20 years but this unit was faulty and the replacement was costly.
the repair was simple just disconnect the wires, they slip off with a good tug, and dismounted the old faulty unit and mounted the new unit , connected the wires to the new unit and it works fine now.
it was very easy to repair, this just needed a Phillips screwdriver. The new unit looks to be a little better construction than the old one hope it lasts this time we will see.

1. Read instructions which was very important and after that the repair went very easy. I spent about an hour to complete the repairs because it gave me an opportunity to take my putty knife and clean the inside of the grill out, otherwise it would have only taken about 20 minutes. The igniter was much easier to replace than I thought it would be. Best to do outside where you don't the stuff from inside the grill all over. The bars just set in place after removing the old ones.
The instructions call for removing the cover lid but I didn't do that and it went very well.

Very easy repair. Removed and replaced igniter module in 15 minutes using a Phillips screwdriver. New one works great! Shame that the original one bit the dust, and not even two years old. I did not need the whole kit, but if the module is any clue, I will need them in the near future.

I followed the instructions and the new igniter worked.

Used the installation instructions that came with the kit. Works great now

Removed the 3 temperature control knobs. Removed 4 screws that hold the control panel.
Removed grill and burner cover. Removed old igniter assembly and installed new one.
There was no need to remove BBQ cover or anything else as per instructions. It was one easiest part replacements I have ever done.

1. Remove control knobs & front cover
2, Disconnect igniter wiring & gas connection on manifold
3. Remove & replace manifold
4. Remove screws from end of burner tubes thus allowing removal & replacement of crossover tube.
