The dust bag was worn and I had taped the hole closed. The dust seal/brake and the metal wear seal on the inner side of the pad was well worn. I replaced each.

I removed the three screws holding the pad on. Removed the pad. Replaced the seal/brake, installed the new pad, replaced the screws. Done. The most challenging aspect was waiting for my wife to watch a genius (me) at work.
I didn't require any instructions for this very minor repair. I do have a working knowledge of repair and replacement of parts on shop tools.

DeWalt 5" orbit sander. Duct collector broke and replacement part was no longer available . Ereplacement parts had a retro fit part that worked and fit perfect .
