Description:

This is a genuine Husqvarna part for use with Murray Lawn Tractors. The drive extension spring is used to provide tension between the link rods and disconnect arm which slows the riding lawnmower down when the speed control is pushed. This part is sold individually. The tool that you will need to replace the spring is pliers.

, Short length of light chain

Broken clutch tensioning spring

Insert new extension spring in place and engage long end in slot of bracket. Attach hook at rear of tractor to short length of light chain and pull chain through slot in chassis with pliers and engage hook in hole adjacent. May have to cut chain with side cutters to release. This repair requires the prior removal of grass collector attachment bracket-easy 3 bolt removal.
