CANNOT GET THE NEW FRONT SELF PROPELLED WHEELS TO TURN. THEY ARE NEW. WOULD IT BE THE GEARS OR THE BELT. HELP!
joseph w. miller for model number 12A.566N063
Hello Joseph, thank you for contacting us. If it is not the Drive Wheels themselves, part 734-04018C for your model, it could be either the Drive Belt part 954-0637A, Belt Tension Spring part 732-1043, or either of the two Gears parts 717-1761 and 717-1762. We hope this helps.
My rear end makes a grinding like like noise could it be low on greese
Randy for model number 13AN771G729475
Hell Randy, Thank you for your question. It could be a sign of low grease on the transmission, there are several ways the mower could create a grinding noise. To name a few: Noisy start-ups after a winter-long storage might result from cold grease that hasn't completely covered the transmission gears. On some models, a worn bearing at the input of the transmission might leak transmission grease, causing smoking and a grinding noise during operation. Momentary screeching and screaming sounds emitted when the mower deck engages might come from power take-off clutch discs briefly slipping or from loose deck belts. Bent or unbalanced mower blades put extra stress on bearings and cause strong vibrations that can rattle machine parts and cause intermittent grinding sounds. We suggest inspecting the mower in these areas we've mentioned to find out what could be causing the grinding sound. We hope this helps!

Baffle was trashed so I decided to replace belt while I was at it
Just removed the mower blade, then baffle and clip.
