purchased a used Penn 3000 Slammer spinning reel at a yard sale that didn't have proper washers in the spool.
Printed off a copy of the reel schematic to observe the proper sequence of washers. Popped out the retaining ring. Removed the incorrect washers. Cleaned out the washer housing good to remove any grit. Lined up the new washers in the same sequence. Applied a very light coat of reel grease to the metal washers only and installed all washers one at a time. Do not apply grease to fiber washers. Reinstalled the retaining spring and remounted the line spool on the main shaft. Bingo, reel ready to go! Thank you eReplacements for always having the parts I need. Jim T.,
