1.Removed 2 screws from side cover.
2. Removed 2 screws that held cord in place.
3. Removed old switch, cord and cord protector.
4. Slid new switch in place.
5. Installed new cord and protector.
6. Installed cord clamp with 2 screws.
7. Wired new cord to switch using wire nuts.
8. Reinstalled side cover.

1) Unscrew and remove the handle/trigger housing cover.
2) Disconnect and remove power cord.
3) Install new power and reconnect.
4) Replace handle/trigger housing cover.

missing parts that needed to be installed, and cord needed replacing

Screwdriver, Adjustable Wrench, vise-grips

I installed the missing parts in order
1) screw on inner flange
2) put blade on
3) slide on the clamp
4) screw in the bolt hand tight
5) attach vise-grips so blade does not move, tighten bolt using adjustable wrench

For cord replacement
1) take off plastic covers using Phillips screwdriver
2) take of old cord and attach new one to appropriate positive and negative sides
3) put plastic covers back on

my saw looked and worked like brand new

The cord was cut in half.

I unscrewed half of the case covering the old cord, undid four internal screws, removed the old cord, slipped the rubber protector off of the old cord and slipped on the new one. Then, reversed the process.Plugged the saw into an outlet and tested. It ran great!
