When plugged in, the power cord transfers power to the unit. This part is made of flexible plastic and metal, it is also sold individually. Screwdriver, Torx

1. Remove 4 Torx screws holding the housing together. Watch out for little O-ring in the housing.
2. Remove 2 Torx screws holding the cord in the polisher.
3. Using small Phillips head screw, driver to remove wires from the motor. black i on the left, white on the right.
4. Slide old cord out of cord protector,
Slide new cord back into old cord protector.
5. Reverse the process making sure the on//off slider switch is aligned correctly and the little O-ring is in place in housing half.
6. Tuck white wire out of the way of the housing screw.
