This is an OEM black oval 6.5-Quart removeable stoneware dish designed to serve over seven people. The dish is placed into the base, and the ingredients are poured directly into this dish for slow cooking. It is removed by simply lifting it out of the heating base and can do double duty as a serving dish. It can be washed in the dishwasher, but it is heavy and should be handled with care. If this part is chipped or scratched it is not safe to cook with and will need to be replaced right away.

Wonderful customer service
Needed a ceramic pot replacement for my crock pot. Had one shipped. Although it was wrapped well it broke. Called customer service they immediately sent a replacement. The second one arrived broken as well. I think something happened in the warehouse as the package was not damaged but the crock pot was shattered. I called again and again a replacement was quickly sent no questions asked.

Got the part, could be easier and cheaper shipping
I could not really find the correct replacement part online, so I had to call. The folks on the phone helped me find a suitable replacement at a decent cost. However, the cost of shipping ground was over $25, which doubled the cost of the replacement. That is almost the cost of buying a new crock pot at the store. So, it was worthwhile to get my replacement part, but not by much. I can see other folks getting frustrated and buying a new appliance elsewhere.
