Description:

This is a genuine OEM supplied replacement component which is specially designed for use with MTD lawn mowers. It is the cable that stops the blade when the control handle is released. If the cable is broken it will cause the brake to not release even when the lever is pressed. Keep in mind this high-quality rubber insulated cable is sold individually. Please make sure to refer to the appropriate diagrams of your model for the correct location and application of this item.

The lawnmower would not start as the control cable was not working properly.

1. Disconnected the spark plug.
2. Carefully removed the cable from the push handle and removed the cable from the emergency stop control.
3. Wedged a screw driver in to the emergency stop controler/brake. Installed the new cable.
4. Installed the spark plug.
5. Finished.
