Easy 30-60 minutes (1 rated repairs)?

Connecting cables were frayed and broke on my circular saw

Michael - March 3, 2019
Tool Type

Circular Saw

Difficulty

Easy

Time

30-60 minutes

Tools Used

Screwdriver, Pliers, Electrical wire strippers, butt joint connectors

1. Disassembled the saw by removing all screws and carefully removing internal components.
2. Removed and cleaned all parts
3. Spliced together the new connecting cables using the waterproof butt joint connectors
4. replaced all the parts in reverse order
5. lubricated the moving components before re-assembling the saw. The most difficult part was reinserting the winding back into the saw. It is easy to break off the post on the winding where the connecting cables attach.
6. tested the saw, which worked perfectly.
