Product Description ?

This genuine replacement collar is sourced from original equipment manufacturer. It is specially made for Porter Cable nailers/staplers. This part provides a seal for the piston. Over time this part will deteriorate allowing for air leaks. This item is made out of neoprene and it is sold individually.

    Air was leaking out of top of gun

    Pliers, allen keys

    Remove top of gun with allen wrench. Remove valve piston. Replace piston stop and valve seal. I would also replace the head gasket. Replace head tighten allen screws.

    1. Removed the top of the nailer.
    2. Removed all of the broken collar pieces.
    3. Replaced the collar.
    4. Attached the top of the nailer.
    5. Attached the nailer to the compressor hose.

    Used 1/4” cordless impact and hex driver to R&R top housing. Clean out old seal and replace with new one.

    Easy-Pezy,
    Remove 4 Allen bolts from top of unit, lift top off, remove
    Old collar, clean out and just push new collar
    On mating piston. Reassemble in reverse order, DONE.
    LITERALLY 3 minutes.

    Removed gun head and piston and gasket and O-rings.
    Replace all worn parts I received from E replacement parts.
    Haven't had a chance to test it out as yet.
    The parts I ordered from E replacement parts came right on time and the process
    was simple and was in a professional manner.

    Air leak caused by degradation of internal seals and piston grip

    1. Used Allen wrenches to disassemble cap from body of nailer - used exploded parts diagram
    2. Removed parts with o-rings and seals
    3. Removed foreign material and cleaned all parts thoroughly
    4. Removed and replaced o-rings and seals with white grease to insure lubrication
    5. Reassembled parts in reverse order of disassembly
    6. Connected air, loaded fasteners and test fired
    7. Smiled

    Used a YouTube tutorial to walk me through to replace the gaskets and O rings. Ended up having to replace a collar valve and a cylinder head but in the end it worked!
