It is an authentic OEM item which is made for use with Ridgid coil roofing nailers. The collar is utilized to provide an air-tight seal for the top cap. Unfortunately, over time it may wear out and begin to crack eventually requiring a replacement to ensure your tool operates properly. Make sure to refer to the appropriate diagrams of your model for the correct installation. It is a high-quality collar which is made of durable rubber material and is sold as an individual component. You will need a wrench set to take the tool apart and replace this part. |

Leak from top of nailer
Removed allen screws from top of nailer, lifted of cap and spring replaced collar, reinstalled spring and cap. Simple repair less than 15 minutes.

Piston ring worn, and collar ripped
1. Remove 4 allen head screws from top
2. Remove ripped collar
3. Push up piston remove old worn piston ring replace with new with slight lube oil on it
4. Pop collar new collar back on
5. Replace top and tighten 4 allen screws

Te mlm ove four screw by exhaust, replaced damaged part and put everything back together

1. Removed 4 Allen screws from Cap.
2. Removed Cap.
3. Removed Cylinder Press Ring.
4. Removed damaged Collar.
5. Installed new Collar by snapping in place.
6. Installed Cylinder Press Ring removed in step 3.
7. Installed Cap.
8. Installed & tightened 4 Allen screws.

The part was for a roofing nailer. The old seal was completely destroyed. The website made it easy to figure out what seal it was. Even though I thought it was a different seal. But the website said a different seal was mostly replaced. And I went with it. They were right. I would of ordered the wrong one. I will be buying more replacement parts as I need them from here..
