    This tool correctly engaged the clutch on my Poulan chain saw. I used a pneumatic impact wrench, and the clutch spun off without the need for a piston stopper or for gripping the flywheel. Good product, recommended.

    Chain and bar started to smoke and get hot. Self oiler for bar and chain went bad.

    Removed chain and bar . Cleaned the bar channels and bar oiler ports. Removed side cover to access the clutch mechanism. Removed spark plug fed a pull cord sized rope into spark plug hole. Removed clutch mechanism reversed thread .
    Removed washer and 2 screws on oil pump and removed. Replaced pump and reassembled.

    Clutch drum gear was worn

    Removed chain and bar removed both side covers put the tool on the clutch and the saw tool on the nut on the recoil side and removed the threaded clutch and drum and reversed the procedure to install took about 15 minutes tops

    Loosened the tension on the blade. Removed the clutch cover with the wrench provided with the saw when purchased. Removed the chain and bar. Used the clutch tool to remove the clutch. Then removed the clutch washer. I removed the old clutch drum and replaced it with the new one. Installed the clutch washer and the clutch. Installed the bar and chain. Then installed the clutch cover, then correctly set the tension on the blade.

    Bar and chain not oiling.

    Remove the bar and chain. Unscrew the clutch assembly to expose the oiler mechanism. Unscrew the gear and plunger unit and remove. Replace with the new one.
