Have had trouble with original bar and chain, since I bought the product. The chain never wanted in the bar. was constantly trying to adjust the bar, to use the pole saw.

    Randy - July 19, 2018
    Tool Type

    Pole Saw

    Difficulty

    Easy

    Time

    Less than 15 minutes

    Tools Used

    Screwdriver, Adjustable Wrench

    1) Removed nut from adjusting guard on machine.
    2) Bar and chain will come off easily.
    3) Replace bar and place chain in the grove of the bar
    4) An improvement has been made to the bar, that has a device that keeps the chain from popping out of the end of the bar. I'm hoping that it works as designed. The chain has to fit properly in the device or else the chain will not fit in the bar correctly.
    5) You want to make sure the chain is placed on the drive gear first, before trying to get the bar in place
    6) There is a small opening on the bar, that has to have the adjusting device go into. There is an adjusting screw on the outside of the housing, behind the bar that is run in or out to adjust the bar tension. If the adjuster is in the proper position, the bar will lay in the saw correctly and not stick up. If the bar is in the correct position, the adjusting guard can be replaced.
    7) If the guard goes on correctly, it will fit with no space showing around the guard. You place the nut on the guard and tighten it up. If there is any adjustments on the bar needed, you do so before the guard is completely tightened. If it requires no adjusting, it's ready to use.
    8) Check to make sure your oil reservoir has plenty of oil in it, any time before using. It only takes a few minutes of running the oil reserve dry, that you can damage your bar.
