Genuine Char-Broil replacement part, this item is sold individually. The Carryover tube provides support burners, and carries the flame from one burner to the next. They also help keep the burners securely in place.
Over time, your carryover tubes may rust or warp.

    Max if 4" length between burners

We have researched the model number that you have provided and show the length of the carryover tubes between the burners (part# G470-2G01-W1) as 5 inches in length with 3 3/4 inches between the burner tubes.     Remove the old corroded parts and replaced with the new parts. Hardest to change were the burner tubes because of the screw on each was badly corroded. Used vice grips to clamp on the screw heads and break loose. Then used common screwdriver to remove.

    1. Had to order parts twice since there was no way to replace the cross over tubes without replaceing the main burner tubes.
    2. Had to drill out the screws holding the main burners then get an easy out. This alone took several hours and a few drill bits that were destroyed.

    1, I removed the grill covers and main burner covers
    2. I unscrewed the rusted out carry-over tubes and installed the new ones and one main burner tube.
    3. Cleaned grill and used it that night to cook out.

    Carefully removed all the old grates, heat tents, burner tubes and carry overtubes. Gave everything a good cleaning and reassembled with new parts. Went fairly smooth with the exception of few rusty screws and bolts.

    The screws on the burners and carryover tubes were all rusted and corroded and had to be drilled out. The new ones fit in perfectly. Removed the old grates and heat tents and replaced them by hand. Now I have a new grill again.

    The only problem was removing the old screws. They were rusted and corroded, I had to grind them off. The old burners and tubes were removed , and the new burners and tubes fit great.

    Unscrewed the old parts, cleaned the grill. Then installed the new parts in reverse order of the old parts without a problem. And placed the heat diffusers in by hand.
