Remove air filter cover to expose the 2 mounting screws. Then detach the two fuel lines from carb and take off of the engine. Loosen the lock nuts holding the so you can remove the carb linkage cable. Insert linkage cable into butterfly on top of new carb and tighten the 2 lock nut. Then place gasket on carb, feed the screws through the mounting flange for the air filter, and tighten the 2 screws to insure good seal.

Push the primer bulb 5 or 6 times and then pull starter cord. If motor doesn't start, prime the carb again. Check to be sure the ignition switch is set to on position and pull starter cord.

My 23 year old echo carb. started acting up. Rather than rebuilding it I chose to buy new. This carb works flawlessly. I bolted it up and with no adjustments my 23 yr. old weed eater runs as it did when it was brand new.
