Product Description ?

Genuine Homelite replacement part, this item is sold individually.
A carburetor basically consists of an open pipe through which the air passes into the inlet manifold of the engine.
The pipe is in the form of a Venturi: it narrows in section and then widens again, causing the airflow to increase in speed in the narrowest part.
Below the Venturi is a butterfly valve called the throttle valve — a rotating disc that can be turned end-on to the airflow, so as to hardly restrict the flow at all, or can be rotated so that it (almost) completely blocks the flow of air.
This valve controls the flow of air through the carburetor throat and thus the quantity of air/fuel mixture the system will deliver, thereby regulating engine power and speed. The throttle is connected, usually through a cable or a mechanical linkage of rods and joints.

Fuel is introduced into the air stream through small holes at the narrowest part of the Venturi and at other places where pressure will be lowered when not running on full throttle.

    leaf blower runs again
Carb was an easy plug and play change out, bolted it on and connected the fuel lines with no problems. Primed it with the fuel bulb and cranked it up, let it warm up and adjusted the fuel and was blowing leaves in no time.

    Same as found elsewhere cheaper
I have relied on eReplacement Parts a number of times to acquire repair parts which were either difficult if not impossible to find elsewhere. Availability of parts, cost and shipping is reasonable. In this case, there are a lot of other sellers offering this same carb, some including extras at a substantially lower price. Not faulting eRP - there just happen to be a lot of these flooding the market.

    Nice replacement
Fit perfectly. Only problem was I had to buy carburetor tools to adjust the mix. Would be nice if it came with the tool. Factory settings were way off!

I wanted to find a replacement primer bulb since the one I have is now essentially disintegrated. Do you sell one for my model trimmer or does amazon sell one?

Hello Nelson, Thank you for the question. The Primer Bulb for this model is only sold as part of the Carburetor Part Number: 308054001. It is not sold on its own. We hope this helps!

This blower is a back pack blower and is about six years old. I refuse to buy a new one cause this is light weight and really has good power. I had trouble starting and when I did get it started I had to keep holding the throttle so it wouldn't stall out. bought a new carburetor, spark plug and I had some new 1/8" fuel line. I took the gas tank off and flushed and pulled new fuel lines through, installed new carburetor and spark plug. I primed the bulb turned choke on and pulled three times and it started right up. I turned the choke off and it idled perfect. I placed the blower on my back and it was like I bought it brand new and the power was all there again. I was one happy camper for about a $30 repair.
