Description:
This genuine OEM replacement carburetor is designed for use with lawn and garden equipment. It mixes air and gas before the fuel mix goes to the engine. This kit includes a metal body carburetor, gasket, fuel hose, clamps and a choke assembly.

If the engine won\'t start and the tank is full of fresh fuel, test the carburetor by removing the air filter and pouring about a teaspoon of fuel into the carburetor. Pull the starter rope. If the engine starts and then quickly dies, the carburetor is likely the problem.

To complete this repair you would need a screwdriver.

• Remove the air filter cover
• Remove the air filter base
• Turn off the fuel
• Remove the fuel line
• Remove the throttle linkage
• Remove the carburetor
• Replace the throttle linkage
• Connect the fuel line to the carburetor
• Replace any damaged/old gaskets
• Reassemble the carburetor and air filter base
• Mount the carburetor and air filter base
• Reinstall the air filter
• Replace the air filter cover

ENGINE BACKFIRING, POPPING. THE MODEL #GIVEN IS THE MOWER. THE ENGINE # IS 28N777 TYPE 013001 CODE 9507254B
Wayne Pruitt for model number 13AC26JD058 asked on 2019-04-24
Hello Wayne, thank you for your question. This issue is usually due to bad fuel/air mixture, spark plug, or the valves in the engine. A spark plug that is damaged, worn, or has an improperly set gap between its electrodes creates a weak spark. As a result, the fuel may not ignite in the cylinder, but it might ignite when it reaches the hot exhaust muffler. The result is a loud backfire. Poor spark also results in a mower that runs unreliably. Replace the spark plug for better results. If the spark plug is good, the problem might lie in the mower?s ignition coil or in the engine?s timing. A lean carburetor has too much air and too little fuel in the mix. The carburetor regulates the volume of air and gas needed for proper combustion. Too little of either causes problems. Valves seal off the cylinder, or firing chamber, of a small engine. One valve opens to allow the gas and air mixture to enter the cylinder, and the other opens to allow exhaust gases to exit the cylinder after combustion. If the valves stick open too long, even just a little, raw gas can pass over to the muffler. Backfires and poor power result. I hope this helps.
My carburetor does not have the plug under the bowl. My carburetor has a bolt.

Simone for model number 31C707-0603-B2 asked on 2019-11-27
Hello Simone, thank you for writing. This may be due to a faulty or clogged Carburetor. This Carburetor part number 594593 is the compatible replacement for your model engine. You may also want to consider replacing the Spark Plug, part number 491055S. Good luck with your repair!
I was using the mower when the engine stopped. I noticed gas pouring from the carburetor.
Alan asked on 2019-07-23
Hi Alan, thank you for your question. It sounds like you may need to replace the gaskets inside of your carburetor. You might want to get a repair kit for it or replace the carburetor entirely if that does not solve the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Motor wouldn't start pour little gas in it started right up so replaced carb and now it will only run with the Choke wide open
Wray brubeck for model number 593594 asked on 2019-05-26
Hi Wray and thank you for your inquiry. Did you set the carburetor? All carburetors no matter what they are made for including cars, tractors and small equipment must be set. This is to be done by the person installing it. The only time this rule does not apply is if there are no adjustment screws on the carburetor. These can be tricky sometimes and require patience. Here is a generic setting for the carburetor. If you need model specific you will have to contact the manufacturer. Locate both idle screws on the carburetor, one marked L (low) and one marked H (high). Turn both screws in to shut off fuel then back off 2 turns, next start engine, it may not run great by should start at these settings, next let idle for a few minutes to get it to operating temperature, start by turning the L screw clockwise until the engine starts to slow then turn it in the opposite direction until it once again starts to slow, then bring it to the midpoint of these 2 spots. Using a tachometer to gauge engine speed, set the idle speed screw to bring the engine to 1750 RPM for aluminum-cylinder engine or 1200 RPM for an engine with a cast-iron cylinder sleeve. Next, at full throttle turn the high speed or main jet screw clockwise until the engine begins to slow. Then, turn the screw the other way until the engine begins to slow. Turn the screw back to the midpoint. Once adjusted, check the acceleration of the engine by moving the throttle from idle to fast. The engine should accelerate smoothly. If necessary readjust mixture screws. Hope this helps and good luck with your repair.
Engine won't start or run. New filters, new spark plug set at proper gap, new carburetor.
Dan Estes for model number 31R707-0033-G1 asked on 2019-05-16
Hello Dan, thank you for inquiring. For this symptom you will want to replace either the Fuel Pump part 597338, the Starter Motor part 593934, or the Spark Plug part 491055S. We hope this helps.

Mower would not start at all, needed new carburetor.
Remove the air cleaner cover, then the air cleaner, then remove the top cover. Remove the filter base plate and remove the breather tube from the base plate. Release the clamp holding the fuel line to the carburetor. To stop the flow of fuel you can use clamp pliers or you can put something in the line to stop the fuel. Remove the choke lever assembly. Take the bolts off that are holding the carburetor to the engine. Remove the throttle control from the carburetor. Remove the old o-ring from the intake tube. Install the new o-ring and gasket included with the carburetor. Then assemble all of the parts in reverse order. Done
