Product Information
Description:
This is an Original Manufacturer Approved Carburetor Kit which includes a Metal Body Walbro WT89 Carburetor, Plastic Grommet and a Plastic Air Filter Housing. It is used on a variety of Poulan Gas Powered Chainsaws. The purpose of this part is to mix air and gas before the fuel mix goes to the engine. If the engine won\'t start and the tank is full of fresh fuel, test the carburetor by removing the air filter and pouring about a teaspoon of fuel into the carburetor. Pull the starter rope. If the engine starts and then quickly dies, the carburetor is likely the problem.

Questions & Answers for Carburetor Kit

I ordered this carb and it fits. My old carb was slightly different with the intake and outtake ports. I also ordered new fuel line, filter and primer bulb. It starts but doesn't stay running. I have switched the primer lines and that did not help. So I'm thinking carb is not hooked up right. Is there a diagram that shows how this is all hooked up? No diagram came with carb. Thank you

Hello Chris, Thank you for contacting us. While we do not have a diagram for this part, we did include a link for one of our installation videos for a similar part that shows the connections. Good luck with your repair. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RuxQ_JohG8A

Does it come with gasket for thecarb.
Fred for model number 2150 asked on 2023-03-17
Hi Fred, Thank you for your question. The gasket is not included. Before we can provide you with information on the gasket, we will need the model number from your chain saw. It may be found on the side of the motor casing, on the back, or on the bottom of the chainsaw. If you could resubmit your question with this information, we would be happy to help you. We look forward to hearing from you!

I see the filter housing is included! Does this allow the clearance needed to work properly? I do know this style replacement does not work with the original air cleaner housing.

Carb gummed up, saw not running
I mistakenly grabbed my old saw that had not run in several years, and couldn't start it. Thinking that I didn't want to buy a third saw, I sent for the new carb, Very easy replacement. I removed the two nuts from the air filter assembly. Removed the fuels line from the old carburetor, remember where they go one they carb. Installed the carburetor and placed the fuel lines back on. attach the the air filter assembly, and it fired right up, got that job done and went to put it away and realized it was not my new saw, but the older one, now I have two both running like new. Next I'll try the same thing on a string trimmer that hasn't run for a long time.

Fuel system blocked
I have never had any luck in using a carburetor repair kit. I'd rather buy a replacement carburetor and be done with it. This is the surest way to get the problem solved!

With the help of eReplacementParts, I got all the parts needed and the correct ones! Because the Walbro carburetor manufacturer is notorious for discontinuing one model and replacing it with another, I had to have help and assurance in selecting the correct parts. The carburetor model that was on my saw was replaced with a newer version. eReplacementParts rep made sure I got the right one!

I have done business with eReplacementParts for several years now and, with their excellent and fast service, along with excellent prices, I'll continue to buy my equipment parts from them!!
Thanks eReplacementParts!!!

Old carburetor was shot.
1. Be sure to order the carburetor kit. The modified parts that come with it make the repair easy.
2. Find a video on You Tube that applies to your specific application.
3. Follow the instructions from the video, after collecting the necessary tools to make the repair. Be sure to use a well lighted work area.
4. It was helpful to print a diagram of the fuel line routing.
5. Make sure to replace all old fuel lines and filter while you have the saw disassembled as well as a new spark plug.
6. New fuel lines pull in easy with dental floss tied to them for a pull string.
7. Re-assemble the saw following fuel line schematics and referring to the video. Tighten all bolts to specifications and add new fuel. I also added a new priming bulb to complete the rebuild.
