This is an authentic Ryobi replacement part that has been sourced from the original manufacturer to be used with generator engines. The gasket is used to seal the connection between the carburetor and the cylinder insulator. The gasket is available as an individual replacement part. A screwdriver, hex driver, needle nose pliers, fuel line clamp, and a small pick may be needed to install this gasket.

After replacing a number of the electronics, and the unit still wouldn't start, I followed disassembly/assembly instructions posted on this website for the new carburetor. NOTE: This is NOT a simple job. The generator is very compact and the carburetor is buried deep beneath several other components. Be extra careful once you begin removal of the throttle and choke controls. There are tiny parts that can fall out. Keep visual and/or written records of how everything looked before you took it apart.
Good news, my generator works now, but the choke control must have been misaligned during reassembly. Requires opening up the back side of the housing to adjust from inside the unit. I probably need to redo my work when I gather enough patience. Good luck if you plan to try this on your own.
