The carburetor was not working well after putting in a rebuild kit.

I removed the filter cover and filter to get to the two nuts holding the carburetor in place.
I used my 1/4 inch drive 10mm socket to remove the nuts,
Taking note as to how the cables and tubes were connected I removed them and lifted the carburetor off of the motor.
I installed the new one in the reverse order.
I gave the primer bulb about 5 pumps put the choke on and pulled the start rope two times and the weed wacker was running. A new carburetor is the only way to go. No messing with tiny parts trying to rebuild the old one.

    1. Attempted to clean idle circuit, used improper cleaning fluid and corroded aluminum housing.
    2. Found replacement carburetor at ereplacementparts and ordered.
    3. Exact match replacement showed up two days later.
    4. Installed replacement carb, primed the system and motor started with one pull, which is typical.
    5. Took auger to favorite ice fishing spot at nearly 10,000 feet, and again, typical Honda with a clean carburetor, the motor started on the first pull in the choke position.
    6. After a warm-up, motor ran like brand new.

Removed old carb assembly, o-ring, and gasket. Installed new parts. The gasket can be trick as they are thin and you want to be careful not to rip it, but all went well and engine is performing well and the way it should.

It was a plug and play replacement as expected using OEM parts.

Throttle arm broke off of the carburetor when I accidentally dropped the weed eater. So I had to replace the carburetor.

    1. Removed plastic engine cover and air filter box ( Allen wrench is required) .
    2. Removed fuel lines ( supply and return) from carburetor connections
    3. Removed carburetor ( two nuts)
    4. Removed old gasket and replaced with new gasket.
    5. Removed old oring off of old carburetor intake .
    6. Put old oring ( probably would have gotten a new one if I had known about it ) on new carburetor.
    7. Reverse first three steps .
Forgot to mention throttle cable removal from carburetor and reinstall. Very simple .

Primed and started on third pull . I also bought new gas tank grommet, fuel lines and filter but didn’t need to replace at this time . Sometimes the fuel lines are brittle so better safe than sorry.
