  • Shindaiwa 500 chainsaw carburetor problem, saw would run for a couple of minutes and then die
Part received promptly even during the covid hysteria. Removed old carb and installed new. Worked perfectly out of the box - only thing I had to adjust was the idle screw. Very pleased

Simple repair....I took out two bolts and disconnected two hoses. Removed old carb and replaced with new. The chainsaw started on third pull. It runs like new.

Actually it was a 2 cycle chainsaw, it would idle fine, but died when pulling the throttle.

    1. Remove air filter
    2. Remove 2 bolts holding the carburetor.
    3. Carefully remove the throttle attachment, the choke attachment and the fuel line(s) - make note of what attaches where and keep all bolts and washers in exact same sequence for reassembly.
    4. Remove carburetor from flexible rubber assembly attaching to motor housing
    5. Reverse order to reassemble
6 It takes a lot of pulls on the starter rope to get fuel back to the carburetor (no pump bubble) but runs like a champ now. My 30 year old chainsaw is back to life.
