Our Honda mower had been dormant for 2-3 years and would only run with the choke 3/4 on. Having encountered this problem in the past with other equipment I ordered a new carburetor and related gaskets from ereplacementparts.com, installed them and it now runs as it should. Have found that trying to clean small engine carburetors is a waste of time and money in most cases. This was a fairly simple job, however anyone contemplating this should look at their engine schematic and make sure you order the accompanying gaskets etc so you don't get it apart and have to wait for overlooked items to get it back together. ereplacement parts.com provided OEM Honda parts and delivered them quite quickly. 2.Reinstalled carb, still would not start
3.Sprayed starting fluid in carb and engine would run for a few seconds.
4.Removed and replaced carb.
5.Engine started on first pull.

The 2 front wheels have plastic gears that engage with a metal pinion gear, replaced the wheels, also, replaced the rear wheels and brackets, they were sagging, I bought this 14 yr old craftsman mower locally for 50 dollars, it had a strong running Briggs motor, the deck was in great condition as well.. installed new battery, also, inserted new key.. so, I ordered about 115 dollars of parts, so, for 165 total, I have a great secondary mower.. I have a top of the line Honda push mower that after 3 yrs needed a carb, so, to ensure I always have a mower, I restored that Craftsman, which by the way is the 80 year anniversary model (1907-2007) , thanks eparts!
