This genuine OEM run capacitor in your freezer starts and runs the compressor motor by storing and providing electrical energy during startup. It ensures a consistent temperature and keeps your freezer items frozen. With new crimp wire connectors, it can handle up to 250 volts and has a capacitance of 15 microfarads. Signs that the run capacitor may need replacement include unusual humming noises, frequent circuit breaker tripping, or temperature fluctuations. You can test the capacitor using a multimeter to determine if it is malfunctioning. When replacing the run capacitor, you will need a nut driver and needle-nose pliers. Start by removing the screws that secure the back cover, then lift the cover to access the capacitor mounted on the side of the compressor. Remove the retaining clip and release the wire tension. Pull out the old run capacitor and ensure the new one has matching terminals and hooks. Align the terminals with the socket and hook the capacitor securely into place. Reposition the wire harness clamp, reattach the back panel, and secure it with the appropriate screws. Please note that the compressor is not included and needs to be purchased separately.
