Does this fit my product?Questions & Answers for Bushing
Should I lube the bushing before installing in the pivot tube housing? If so, with what? 3-1 Dry Lube? Standard grease? All-in-one oil? Also, should I grease the crank arm shaft before installing the new pivot tube/bushing assembly? Thanks.

Hello Doug, Thank you for your inquiry. These bushings don't typically need lubrication regularly, however they do have a tendency to squeak at certain points in their lifecycle. When this happens, lithium grease will take care of the squeaking issues with them. The only bearings that never need lubricating are the sealed bearings in the rotation points. Any type of white lithium grease will work. We hope this helps you.

Screwdriver, Socket set, Nutdriver, Hammer to tap bushing out and gently back in.
Parts Used
1.Take off plastic shell
2. Loosen and take off nut from top of bushing housing
3. Lift connecting arm off bushing housing
4. Unscrew hex bolt from side of bushing housing
5. Slide bushing housing of pedal shaft
(Note the placement of the washers)
6. Slide screw driver into the bushing housing at an angle
And tap old bushing out.
7. Gently tap new bushing into housing
Reverse process 5 to 1 to assemble

*Remove arm assys and dismantle from bearing shafts. Make note of washer locations.
*Old bearings are pressed into ends and must be driven out or pressed out.
*Install new bearings, preferably with vise or similar method. Would not recommend hammering, the bearing metal is very brittle.
*Lube bearings and shafts, reinstall arms, Will require significant hammering with rubber mallet as alignment of new bearing halves is not exact.

The 10 year old elliptical was in need of a rebuild, and the bronze bushings were worn out.

I used simple hand tools to disassemble the elliptical, starting on the left side and working from top down and then back to the pedals. Once disassembled, with the arms removed, the bushings are accessible and I removed them with a punch and hammer. I believe there are 22 bushings on this model.
To insert the new bushings, I used a hammer and two pieces of wood to try to not damage the bushing surfaces, and for the larger bushings, I used a pipe clamp and slowly tightened the clamp to put more even pressure on the bushings to insert them into the arms and blocks.
Hopefully, I can get another 10 years of use on this elliptical.

Foot decks were loose and squeaking

Replace the Bushings on both foot decks.
I had to pound a couple of them out with a screwdriver and hammer.
They were worn to an oblong opening. Replacing them tightened up the foot decks and then I replaced the white plastic-type washers at some of the other connections where the schematic shows they should be but had worn completely off the machine.
