Questions & Answers

The bumper is head fine...bolt stripped?!? Once the bolt was exposed I used a wrench, but it seems to be stripped or seized no matter which direction turned, it would not loosen as a normal machine bolt smoothness. Do I replace the entire housing?!?
Jody Cash for model number TB 22 EC
Hi Jody, Thank you for your question. If the bolt is the only part that is the issue, I would replace the bolt. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The Bump Head Knob Assembly would not come off so I had to hack saw it off.
I had to order the spool assembly and the bump head know assembly. Since I had to cut the bolt off I had to replace the spool assembly which fastens onto the neck of the trimmer. Everything went together smoothly. I didn't have to use any tools to replace the Bump Head Assembly but the shaft assembly with the spool; I used a wrench and philips screwdriver to put it together.

Outer spool assembly was messed up as well as the bump knob.
Removed the retaining washer, then the old outer spool. Put the new outer spool on and slid the retaining washer down the shaft. Used a deep well socket the was a bit smaller than the retaining washer, and tapped it down snug. Good to go.

Very easy to shop for replacement part per product diagrams.
Neighborhood friends bring me their broken or worn out equipment for repair and eReplacement always has the parts to make them go again typically within a week of ordering. A great place to do business.

    Broken
The replacement bump head cap fit perfectly and I was able to use my weed eater for about 20 minutes until I needed to add string. I went to take the cap off and I couldn't take it off. My fiance couldn't either. I finally got it loose but it still wouldn't come off. Once loose I was able to see the problem. It looks like the cap melted. I don't know if it's the caps fault or the weed eaters fault but I now need a new weed eater.
