Product Description ?

This is a genuine OEM approved replacement part designed for use with Bissell upright vacuum cleaners. It spins to pick up the dust and dirt from the carpet. Over time, the bristles on rotating floor brush will wear. This part is made out of plastic and it is sold individually.

When replacing this part you will need a screwdriver.

• Remove access plate and take off the belt
• Remove old brush roller and snap the new one into place
• Connect belt to the spindle
• Secure the access plate

    1. Removed brush roll cover
    2. Removed old brush roll
    3. Installed new brush roll
    4. Replaced brush roll cover
    5. Checked brush roll clearance
    6. Tested brush roll by turning on the vacuum and continuing use of it.

    The belt would burn up within 2min after turning it on

    Basically the old roll had gotten stuck or in some cycle were it wore down the sides that would spin on the bottom plate. This caused uneven rotation and therefore the belt would not be perfectly situated on the roll point. When it slide off, the driving gear/rod would just melt the belt by friction because the belt couldn't move.

    Repair:
    1. unscrew bottom plate from vacuum
    2. remove old roller and belt
    3. place belt on gear pin and place over roller
    4. place the roller's end that is away from the belt in the holder
    5. using that leverage, stretch the belt to get the other side of the roller in place
    6. screw back on the bottom plate
    7. use

    Vacuum roller assembly seized up broke the belt. Removed the old one and attached the new one. Reassembled and tested.
