Carbon Brushes in clippers were worn out.
Used a dime to remove the caps that cover the brush retainers then used a small screwdriver to pry out the brush/retainer. Removed the carbon brush and spring. Put in new brush and spring making sure the carbon brush was positioned so that the concave on the carbon matched the convex surface of the armature. Pushed in the retainer then replaced the caps.
Clippers work great now.
