Product Description ?

This is an original part from Craftsman for use with Impact Wrenches. The motor brush transfers electric current to the spinning armature in the motor. This part is sold individually. The most common reasons for replacing the motor brush is if the motor is losing power (or underpowered), the drill stops working suddenly and the is electric braking function is not working if you see smoke or sparks coming from the motor or the motor is running poorly. Here is a list of tools that need to install the motor brush are a Torx driver, long-nosed pliers, and a Screwdriver.

Pop the rear cover and handle cover off, remove the wires from the switch. You may want to make a wiring diagram. Connect the wires to the new switch. Pull back the springs holding the brushes in and set it on the holder, disconnect the worn brush leads, and remove them. Install the new brushes in the holder and connect the leads. Put the brush springs behind the brushes, so they make contact withe the armature. Replace the rear cover and handle cover.
