    Tool Type

    Electric Drill

    Difficulty

    Easy

    Time

    15-30 minutes

    Tools Used

Screwdriver, Two small allen wrenches to hold brushes in place

    1. Removed access cover to brush assembly.
    2. Removed spring assembly and replaced with new springs.
    3. Inserted new brushes.
    4. Used small allen wrenches to hold brushes into access cover so I could slide the whole assembly down around the armature of the drill.
    5. Installed brush holder screw through access cover info drill.

Note: the hardest part was holding the brushes against the springs through the access cover, while pushing them down over the armature.
