Description:
This is an authentic OEM sourced replacement part designed for use with Hitachi power tools. The purpose of the brush cap is to secure the brush in the tool. This cap has external threads that thread into the housing of the tool. Be careful when removing and replacing these, they have a tendency to break. This item is made out of plastic and it is sold individually.

You would need a flathead screwdriver to install or remove this brush cap.

A wire burned off from the stator where it goes on the contact spring
Remove the blade & guard. Remove the handle & disconnect the wires. Remove the motor and armature. Remove the 2 screws holding the stator in, and remove the stator. Installation is reverse procedure, using care to line the stator up correctly, and push the contact springs over the brush holder as you push the stator into place.
