when turning riding mower, unable to steer
I found the Steering rack plate had 3 teeth that were broken. Since I had the mower for about 5 years I thought it would be a good idea to replace the steering pinion gear as well, so to have new fresh teeth matching up. Removed cotter pins holding arms to plate then pulled off steering pinion gear and replaced gear. Then reinstalled new plate and put steering arms in with cotter pins. Fairly easy job for the average guy. Ereplacement parts had the correct parts at great prices.
