I blew out the shaft blade with a date pit. I called the manufacturer but they said the item was discontinued. Frustrating because it otherwise works great! Glad I found this site. The replacement shaft feels a little tight going on so it requires more pressure to engage the button than the old one being replaced. Other than that, works perfectly and very happy to keep a functional small appliance out of the waste stream.
