Product Description ?

This is an original Toro replacement part. It is supplied directly from original equipment manufacturer for use with snow blowers/throwers. Snowblower scrapers absorb a lot of friction while the machine is in operation, and they are designed to wear down over time. You can tell that a snowblower has a worn scraper because it will no longer clear the sidewalk as well as it did before wearing. Please note, paddles and scrapers are designed to wear at approximately the same rate, so it's always a good idea to replace them both at the same time. This vinyl blade-scraper is sold individually.

Replacing it is a quick and easy job. You will need a wrench to complete this repair.

• Remove the scraper bolts
• Pull the old scraper off of the snowblower
• Press the new scraper onto the lip of the impeller
• Return the scraper's bolts and nuts to their positions

I bought a Toro Power Clean snow blower from a flee market for $50, new it would have cost me $650. It started right up, but it wouldn't blow the snow. I went on U-tube to figure out the problem. I saw an ereplacementparts video. It showed me exactly what I needed to do. I ordered the parts from ereplacementparts.com. Very easy to find the correct parts and I received them in a couple of days. I replaced the parts in about an hour. Now it works like it's brand new.

The snow blower wasn't throwing the snow as far as it use to and it was not getting all the snow down to the driveway surface. Also the engine ran rough because the choke lever broke.

To replace the blade scraper I removed the 2 bolts holding it in place and used a set of pliers to remove the tension springs. Reinstalled the new blade scraper without any problems. The 2 rubberized blades were held on by 6 bolts/nuts each. Those were fairly easy to remove and take the old rubber blade off and replace with the new ones. The old ones still looked new but upon closer inspection they were wore down by 1/2" - 3/4". This made all the difference in throwing the snow. Then new blade scraper allowed the snow blower to get down to the surface of the driveway and not leave any snow on it. The only problem I noticed was the choke lever. The actual choke lever is attached with a screw that screw into a plastic piece which is formed into the choke butterfly itself. That being said, there was no need to by a new choke lever. This is a bad design by the manufacturer in my opinion. Now I either have to by that part and tear the carb apart to fix or if I can't get just that part, then I'm sure I will have to buy the whole carb as a kit. Absolutely No Problems with ordering parts from Ereplacement parts at all. I had my parts in 2 days and everything I ordered was in the box properly labeled. Definitely will order parts from them again.

Tilted the snowblower forward, leaning against a wall. I used a small tie down to secure the machine in that position.

Removed the two bolts using socket wrench and open wrench. Removed spring using needle nose pliers.

    Reversed process with replacement part.

    1. I removed the old plastic blade scraper easily with two ratchets w/sockets and unhooked springs with a long needle-nosed pliers. Installing the new part was also easy using the same tools.
    2. Removing the worn out rubber blades was difficult as a couple of the torx flat-headed bolts stripped out trying to break them loose. One bolt head had to be cut free from the blade with a razor knife to enable holding it with a vice grip pliers. I would recommend purchasing some new bolts and nuts when replacing these blades.

The toughest part was freeing the rusted nuts on the rotor bolts. This is what took so much extra time. I had sprayed them down with WD-40 a couple days earlier, but even so, they did not give up without a fight. I also did not initially have the correct Torx bit to fit the main rotor bolts. Once I purchased the right Torx screwdriver, that made a world of difference. I replaced the rusted nuts and bolts with stainless steel, so if the rest of the snowblower hangs together, replacing the rotor blades should be easier next time. Replacing the scraper blade was no problem, as I have done it before. I just have to remember to photograph how the springs attach to the holders before removing them, so it is easy to get them oriented correct for re-assembly. I suggest your company put a recommendation note for those who replace the rotor blades, to make sure they have the correct size of Torx screwdriver on hand, because it makes removal and re-installation so much easier. Obviously, if you could provide a recommended list of tools required to replace a major part such as the rotor blades, that would be a great help, even if you don't sell the specific tools needed. Just knowing the tools needed for a job would be a great advantage.

All that being said, after using parts from your company several years now, I have complete confidence in their quality and that they are the exact replacement parts made by Toro. So if I encounter any problems in using them, most likely it is either my error or the lack of the correct tools, such as the proper Torx screwdriver.
