Product Description ?

Andis has manufactured this part for use in many models of hair clippers. The Blade Pad & Guide Assy is used to attach the blade to the clipper as well as allowing the cutting length to be adjusted while in use. This assembly includes the metal plate that the blade attaches to and the metal guide. This part should be replaced if it has become damaged where the blade won’t stay securely in place. This part is commonly purchased with the Ball Pin (part number 03005) and the Blade Pad Assy Screw (17808).

The repair was not hard after I figured out that the 3 pieces of the old part were replaced by just 2 pieces. After I realized this and removed the extra piece of the old part, re-assembly was easy, and the clipper is as good as new thanks to eReplacement Parts. The manufacturer had told me they no longer made parts for that clipper, but you had exactly what I needed.

I removed the blades and blade pad & guide assembly, then pulled the adj lever pin out ,so the adj lever could be pulled out from the side of the clipper. I pushed the new adj lever back inside the clipper, then holding the adj lever in place I inserted the lever pin that will fit in the hole of the blade pad. I screwed down the new blade pad assy. Then screwed the clipper blades to the new blade pad. After years of use, the old parts had just wore out, now the clipper works fine.
