Parts were lost when trying to use a thatcher blade. The vibration loosened the retainer nut and parts were lost in the grass.

I had taken blade off to sharpen with difficulty as the small parts were worn. The flap had previously torn off. So flap just slides in the grooves no tools needed, except a mallet to get old piece out. For blade re installation just a 3/4 ratchet sure pieces are in correct order

Blade and related parts needed replacement

    Jesus - February 3, 2017
Removed old blade and parts and inserted new ones. Tightened the new nut. I had not tightened it enough and blade became loose while moving. I had not replaced the spacer correctly so I took everything off and retightened. This time it worked. However, I am now convinced that I should just give an eye inspection to the mower before I start it.

    Straight forward:
    1) Remove nut holding blade to drive shaft. NOTE WHICH DIRECTION BLADE, INSULATOR, AND NUT FACE (motor or ground)
    2) place new parts on drive shaft facing the correct direction)
    3) replace nut
