Product Description ?

This is a genuine OEM sourced replacement deck belt. It is specially manufactured for use on Husqvarna walk-behind lawn mower. This is the the belt that drives the mower blades. Over time belts tend to stretch and wear out requiring replacement. This part is made out of strong durable rubber material and it is sold individually.

To complete this repair you will need a set of wrenches.

• Remove the belt cover
• Move the belt guard
• Remove the drive belt
• Install the drive belt
• Reinstall the belt guard
• Reinstall the belt cover
• Adjust the drive cable

    My mower, hu725awd says Briggs & Stratton 725ex, not Craftsman. Is this (#580364610) still the correct drive belt?

    1. Removed all wheels.
    2. Removed all plastic covers and housings for access to drive components.
    3. Cleaned 5 pounds of mud/grass from inside front drive upper and lower covers.
    4. Ground heavy rust from drive surfaces of front transmission pulley.
    5. Replaced idler pulley which had a frozen bearing and belt burn damage.
    6. Replaced belt.
    7. Lubricated wheels, transmission axle bearings, and height adjusters.
    8. Sharpened blade.
    9. Reassembled and replaced the badly worn front left the wheel.
    10. Adjusted drive control cable.

    1 pulley broke. 2 weeks earlier I replaced self-propel cable. not knowing pulley was probably fractured. It broke so I decided to replace belt, pulley and rear skirt.

    Self-propel was not working

    Removed and replaced pulleys, drive belt and controller. Still having a problem with reinstall of brake reset spring. Have searched high and low for diagram, instructions, video, etc. to show how to reinstall the spring. Absolutely nothing for my model relating to reinstallation of the brake reset spring. Dozens of videos for most any other repair.

    Pretty much have to take out every bolt, nut, etc off the bottom and some on top of deck to get the drive belt on.,if you don’t loose any special bolts you’ll probably finish sooner. Lol it’s pretty easy, but a pain. I took the time to clean, inspect, lube, sharpen, and paint.

    The pully belt was worn and required replacement and the drive cable broke

    The front right adjustable wheel was broken, bracket for belt broke, and the belt was twisted and jammed into the pulleys.

    It took a little time removing some of the parts due to rusted screws.
