, Screw Gun bit holder and Allen bit.

    Parts Used
I placed the belt partially onto the larger pulley, then inserted a screw Gun bit holder with the correct size Allen bit through the belt and into the smaller shaft. I stretched the belt over the smaller pulley and pushed it onto each pulley as I turned the bit holder with a wrench. Similar to getting the chain on a bicycle. Maybe not the way a real professional repairman would have done it but it was quick and fairly easy. Did not buy a 230.00 special tool and still fight the job as advised by what little help I found online.

Drive belt worn out and broken

Very difficult to stretch the belt enough to install it. Took some ingenuity to figure out how to get it on without the factory tool for the process. I did do it. You need to keep turning the drive pulley and slowly "walk" the belt down over the grooves. NOT EASY!

Remove the cover for the drive belt that's when I figured out that the belt was no good
    Ordered the part.
I left the cover off it was only held on by one screw and then place the belt over the grooved wheels. Actually the belt has to go over one wheel /gear almost a hundred percent ,it's very tight ,and then you take the allen wrench and turn the gear while you're pushing down on the belt so the belt will thread itself on to the other gear. Make sure that the belt is seated well on both gears and then I replaced the cover

    Parts Used
Belt does not stretch so had to start two of belt grooves on larger drive wheel from bottom , then with some pulling, wheel turning and prying at same time, pulled belt up on smaller wheel from bottom. Then did same on larger wheel. Not easy to do like most drive belts, but it never ever slips.

Took off the old belt and replace it with the new one. I got online for some ideas. One guy used a metal “cheater” bar to put on the new belt. I used a flat screwdriver which was much easier.

Was unable to stretch the small belt which. Even heating in boiling water had no effect.

I could not stretch the belt enough to install. I had to take it to a local tool maintenance shop who got the job done. I was not expecting that or the associated expense. Never the less, The sander is again working.....

Your product was appropriate, timely, and price realistic.

    Thanks again...
