Drive belt broke, driveshaft pulley loosened and fell off
I was a bit skeptical concerning this repair as operator's manual for 2010 Troy-Bilt pony lawn tractor suggests replacing drive belt be done by authorized Troy-Bilt repair station. However I watched Ereplacementparts video on YouTube (replacing drive belt on Troy-Bilt pony) and it was such a thorough video (kudos to Mark) that I decided to do repair by myself. I did view video multiple times and did call to speak with salesperson (MaKayla) who was very helpful in determining parts which I needed and actually corrected me on a replacement belt keeper part number. Actual taking deck off and replacing both drive and transmission belts took approximately 3-4 hrs as I tried to be as methodical as possible. Video gave me a great tip for removing tension springs, that is tying a rope and pulling them loose which I might not have figured out on my own! I had to replace bolt which holds main driveshaft pulley on engine which necessitated ordering parts this time online, but the exploded parts diagrams made this very easy and all parts actually arrived in 3-4 days time which I thought exceptional! I tried out mower this morning and it seems to operate as good as new, time will tell, but I must say that your company has been very thorough and on top of things, thanks much for all the help and reasonable pricing! Repair video was just outstanding and company service is excellent.

lawn mower wouldn't propel itself normally and would stop on the slightest incline.
I watched youtube videos to research the cause. I concluded that the drive belts were worn and stretched. So I called Troybilt to verify my belt numbers. I ordered the belts and received them fairly quick. I watched the eReplacement video on youtube on the procedure to replace the belts. I was able to complete the task though the video made it look easier than it really was. There were some tension issues to overcome with the belt on the differential. Putting the rear pulley back on the shaft was very difficult. Other than that the rest of the repair was as the video showed.

Drive belt broken
There are good videos out there but here is additional info that I learned only by destroying a new belt and reinstalling another three times before getting it right...
1. Install belts only in this order: long drive belt, short drive belt, mower deck belt.
2. Have to put the long drive belt on the crank spindle before putting it on the rear pulley.
3. Before tightening anything, check that the long drive belt is over top of pedal rod.
4. Before tightening anything, check that all belts are inside all keepers.

Mower deck had to be removed then guards.Pulley removable was easy .

Tractor was at the point of moving only in highest setting. Drive belt was stretched to limit
Pulled mower deck from tractor. While out replaced mower deck belt and new blades. Removed battery and holders from back of tractor. Removed small drive belt, and then pulled off old main drive belt through body of tractor and removed pulley shaft from motor and replaced the main drive belt. Installed shaft with belt on. Mower drives and cuts great. All speeds now work. Will order parts from here again. Thanks Tom

  • Great Experience
I broke a drive belt on my tractor. After unsuccessful attempts at various stores I contacted this eReplacementparts. Company was able to provide the belt I needed through the part number of the tractor. Shipped quick and was the correct part. Friendly and knowledgeable service over the phone as well. I will definitely use this company again

    Wrong Part
Received the wrong part for a Troy Belt Pony Riding mower. The belt was nowhere near the right size. Although finding the right size admittedly has been problematic. Return and refund was handled expeditiously and much appreciated.

    Belt was wrong size
The belt did not fit. It was supposed to be the drive belt for the blades, but clearly too short!
