Description:

This is a genuine OEM sourced replacement belt which is specially designed for use with Murray, Simplicity and Snapper lawn mowers. It is the main deck belt which helps to rotate mower blades, over time it may wear out and begin to crack eventually requiring a replacement. Please note this high-quality rubber belt is sold individually.

Screwdriver, Socket set

worn deck drive belt

lowered mower deck
removed both pulley shields
removed old belt by prying over left pulley with screwdriver
positioned new belt on drive pulley
threaded belt over pulleys & idler until left pulley remaining
pried belt onto left pulley with screwdriver
replaced shields

*check pulleys and especially the idler for play. Worn idler bearing could have been the problem.
