Description:

This is an OEM part commonly used on Walk Behind Push Mowers. Blade Support fits between the bottom of the blade and the blade bolt to provide support for the blade. It is made out of metal to ensure parts durability. It is recommended to replace this part if the part is worn or damaged. Recommended tools for the repair are: hammer, 5/8” socket, and torque wrench.

Bolt broke in shaft

Drilled out broken screw, and used an easy out to remove it. Removed the blade adapter by tapping on it. I then install the new one by lining up the key inside of it with the key slot on the engine shaft. And I tapped it on. I then attached the blade to the adapter with blade support. And the blade bolt and tightened it into the shaft. Works great now.

Tilt mower up remove blade take off plastic cover two bolts, should order the bolts they get rusty. Slide belt off pulley as you pull down part reinstall easy

Blade adapter had cracked and two pieces came off.

I disconnected the spark plug and tipped the lawn mower to one side(oil filler tube up). I then removed the bolt that secures the blade, bell support and old blade adapter(what was left). In the reverse order I reattached everything and tightened the bolt to the motor shaft. I also sharpened the blade while I had it off. Sounds like a lot, but is not and is easy(once you figure out how to hold the blade, with gloves, and loosen the bolt. A socket set works best for the bolt(good leverage).

Blade adp. was bent and blade would not stay tight

Removed old blade adp. Cleaned shaft. Slid belt on new blade adp. Installed new blade adp. held blade in place, added new blade bell support and new hex nut. And Presto Changeo, everything works great. All the parts fit just like the old ones, except the new ones work much better. Thanks for your help!
