Description:

This is a genuine OEM replacement part, it is sold individually.
This Ball Bearing is sealed on both sides.

Ball bearings are used to reduce friction between rotating parts. The balls or rollers take the load and spin, distributing the weight evenly while the minimal contact area of the ball reduces friction.

This reduces wear on the tool and allows it to run smoothly.

Bearings experience constant wear when the tool is in operation from pressure, heat, vibration and friction. Because of this, many Bearings need periodic maintenance or replacement.

What are the dimensions of this part

Hello Hernan, Thank you for your inquiry. We show the outer diameter of this part as approximately 0.86 inches, the inner diameter as approximately 0.5 inches and approximately 0.25 inches thick as per the one inch grid of squares the part is photographed against. We hope this helps.

Bearing went bad on Dewalt chop saw

Removed drive belt cover
Removed drive belt
Removed motor cover with armature
Removed armature from housing
Used bearing separator and press to remove drive pulley, then damaged bearing.
Inner race of bearing was very tight so we thinned it with a carbide burr and broke it off the shaft
Retaining screw for drive pulley was installed with Loctite, had to heat to soften Loctite and remove.
Only the large bearing was bad but I replaced both while apart
Reassembled in reverse order.
Helpful to have some experience

worn bearings and broken motor fan

Disassembled entire tool to clean out sawdust and caked on gunk, replaced bearings and JB and welded broken fan in place as replacement fan no longer available.
Also replaced drive belt. Used a length of 1/2" copper pipe to help slip drive belt onto spindle.

Bearings went out on wet saw.

Removed the housing,. Removed the motor,. Pulled off old bearings, replaced with new bearings,. Put everything back in reverse... Done

End bearing had gone out on DeWalt circular saw.

1. removed blade
2. remove housing screws
3. remove stator
4. removed what was left of small end bearing; had to use Dremal small cutting wheel to split bearing as it was stuck on stator shaft due to heat when it was going out I presume.
5. held brushes out whiel reinstallign stator
6. reassembled housing
7. Installed bladde
8 Saw worked perfectly again.

Disassembled removed old bearings and replaced with new bearings. Special details need to be given to inside wiring position to make sure they are clear of the rotating armature and fan.

Saw locked up because the motor bearing went out

I took the side cover off and removed belt. Removed motor and pulled the armature out, it has the bearing on it . I used a hydraulic press to remove the old bearing and press the new one on. Put it back together , runs great.

The ring and pinion gears had wore out.

I ordered the assembly to replace the old one and when it came, I realized that the pinion gear was not included. So I ordered the pinion gear and being as how I would have it apart, I decided to go ahead and change the bearing also. Had I took the time to look at it closer beforehand, I would have just ordered the ring and pinion gears and saved some money. But now it's like new.

Just remove the old bearings easy pull up
