Product Description ?

This Ball Bearing has metal shielding on both sides. This genuine Bosch replacement part is sold individually.

rnrn

  • Ball bearings are used to reduce friction between rotating parts. The balls or rollers take the load and spin, distributing the weight evenly while the minimal contact area of the ball reduces friction. This reduces wear on the tool and allows it to run smoothly.
    rn
  • Bearings experience constant wear when the tool is in operation from pressure, heat, vibration and friction. Because of this, many Bearings need periodic maintenance or replacement.

  • Good part, very slow delivery
Have not installed the part but having worked all my life with bearings this one appears to be good quality. Very disappointed to have had to wait 1 1/2 months to receive the part considering what I had to pay for shipping!

Remove bearing/ allen cap bolt from saw. The bearing is pressed onto the cap bolt so I soaked in WD 40 to loosen rust. Placed bearing atop of vise (as not to quite contact the cap bolt). Using appropriate sized allen key in socket; tap bolt thru (while old bearing sat atop vise) with a mallet. clean surface of cap bolt with steel wool and spray of WD 40. Thread cap bolt and lock washer back onto miter saw. Line up new bearing to cap bolt and with a block of wood and mallet, tap (press) new bearing into place.
