This is an OEM sourced replacement part designed for use with Penn reels. It covers the opening for changing your handle from left to right retrieve. Without this part internal components of your reel will be exposed to outside dust and debris, and, eventually will compromise its functionality. It is important to always keep that cover on. This dust cap is made out of plastic and it is sold individually. It has threads on the inside that will allow this part to be screwed on to the reel body, therefore no additional tools are required to attach this item.

Bail arm screw broke and bearing cover lost/stolen

Tapped out broken screw then replaced it with new screw.
Bearing cover, I tighten it with pliers so if comes missing again I will know it was stolen; plus it will be hard to unscrew it by fingers.
