Bearing was shot
Remove the sanding pad 4 screws. Remove the old bearing and cap assembly, one screw. Replace bearing and reverse steps.

Changed backing pad disc
Removed 4 screws then pad. Removed 1 screw then bearing cap assembly reassembled with new parts job finished

Sanding pad attaches to the bearing cap with 4 screws. The cap was cracked which cause the pad to turn like a grinder instead of orbiting.
Simply removed the sanding pad (4 screws), and replaced the bearing and bearing cap (1 screw).
Reassembled in reverse. Quick and easy
